This library of functions is designed to simplify many data analysis and manipulation operations in Mathematica 6. For Mathematica 7 we recommend the trial version BEST Viewpoints which offers more capabilities.

Consider the following dataset of 5,000 rows (records) by 20 columns (fields).

After uploading BEST Basics you can use SpreadsheetViewMXL to view and manipulate data.  

SpreadsheetViewMXL provides data manipulation capabilities like viewing, freezing columns, editing, sorting by one or more columns, deleting rows or columns, formatting contents, and exporting data after editing data.

After uploading BEST Basics you can use SpreadsheetViewMXL to view and manipulate data.  In the example below fields X1 and X2 are frozen for a continuous display, field X10 was removed, and the remaining data is being sorted by X14 ascending, then by X13 descending, and then by X12 ascending.  The spreadsheet is 16 columns by 16 rows.
